The green comet ”Comet ZTF (C/2022 E3)” was discovered on March 2 last year at the Palomar Observatory in San Diego County, California, USA.
According to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), it was closest to the Sun on January 12th.

According to EarthSky, an astronomical observatory, it will pass closest to Earth on February 1 and 2 at a distance of 42 million to 44 million kilometers.
Even at its closest approach, the comet would be at least 100 times farther from the Earth than the distance between the Earth and the Moon.
