US Midterm Elections Run-off Voting Begins in Georgia

The run-off has begun in the southern state of Georgia, where the outcome of the US midterm elections for the Senate was undecided.
Georgia’s runoff vote for the last seat in the Senate began at 9:00 pm Japan time on the 6th.
The incumbent Democratic candidate Warnock and the former American football star and Republican candidate Walker will battle it out.
In last month’s midterm elections, none of the candidates achieved the percentage of votes necessary to win, and the state’s own regulations led to the runoff.
The majority of the Senate has already been secured by the ruling Democratic Party, but since former President Trump has endorsed Walker as candidate, it is attracting attention that the outcome will affect former President Trump’s centripetal force.
