American electric car giant ”Tesla” announced that it will enter the Thai market in earnest
On the 7th, Tesla began officially importing and selling two of its electric vehicles in Thailand.
Until now, local dealers have handled parallel imports, but we aim to expand the market through regular sales.
At a press conference, the person in charge of the local subsidiary said with expectations that ”Thailand is one of the leading countries in the Asia-Pacific region that is promoting the introduction of electric vehicles.”
In Thailand, electric vehicles from Chinese manufacturers are also being introduced to the market one after another, and it seems likely that the competition for market share will accelerate in the future, including among Japanese manufacturers.
